Blue Angel Wines

Blue Angel Wines is a Williamsburg, Brooklyn based wine shop that specializes in organic wines. Seventy percent of the wines we sell are made using organic or bio-dynamic methods.

We provide free delivery to Williamsburg, Bushwick and Greenpoint and can ship to (almost) anywhere in the country.

Wine Buyer

Kym Apotas, a sommelier who used to buy wines for Astor Wines and Spirits, is the lead wine buyer and manager of the store. Kym tastes as many as 300 wines a month in an effort to find high quality wines at reasonable prices.

The Store

We host private events and tastings at our Grand Street Space.

It was important to us to build the store in a way that made use of environmentally friendly products. We found the wood beams that we used for the wine racks at a salvage yard in Queens (www.builditgreen.com). The wood used to be a part of the riding stable in central park.

We also have signed up with Keyspan to use wind power to provide electricity to the store.

Our Wine Cellar

We have a large 850 square foot basement that allows us to buy large quantities of wines from the 30-40 distributors that we work with and then pass the savings along to our customers.

We hold free tastings every Thursday and Saturday.
